Joanna serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs at Asian Theological Seminary (ATS) in Manila, Philippines where she has been full time faculty since 1997. She previously served at ATS as Chair of the Christian Education Department and Associate Dean for Faculty. she has taught courses in Theology, Counseling, Hermeneutics and Greek at ATS, Grace Bible School, Faith Bible College, and Febias College of Bible. Joanna also serves with Overseas Council as Regional Director for South East Asia. Joanna earned her ThM in Spirituality at Regent College in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and her PhD in Educational Studies at Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL.
John is a missionary of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa, seconded to Africa International University in Nairobi, Kenya where he has served as Dean of the School of Education, Arts, and Social Sciences, and has taught in the Educational Studies Department. He is an ordained minister of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ – Sierra Leone. Currently on leave from AIU, he is serving with Overseas Council as Africa Regional Director for Anglophone countries. John also serves as curriculum consultant for More than a Mile Deep-Global, Supervising Editor for the Africa Study Bible, and Senior Researcher for the Africa Leadership Study. John earned his PhD in Educational Studies from Trinity International University. John is GATE's Regional Director for Africa.
Theresa currently serves as Director of the Global Theology Department of the World Evangelical Alliance. Since 2016 she has also served as General Secretary of the Asia Theological Association (ATA). Previously she served ATA as Secretary of Accreditation & Educational Development and Associate Secretary of Accreditation. For ten years she served as Dean of the Asia Graduate School of Theology (AGST), a consortium of eight seminaries in the Philippines offering post-graduate programs. She also served as Academic Dean and faculty at the Alliance Graduate School. Theresa has been appointed by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education as member of the Technical Committee for Christian Formation since 2013. She earned her Doctor of Education from AGST Philippines. Theresa is GATE's Regional Director for Asia.
A seasoned theological educator with considerable international experience, Gary serves with United World Mission through its Theological Education Initiative and is based in Southern California, USA. Previously living in Sofia, Bulgaria (1992-2010) with his wife and two boys, Gary helped establish the United Theological Faculty of the Bulgarian Evangelical Theological Institute, where he taught New Testament courses and served as Academic Dean. Gary is involved in theological education and leadership training in countries throughout Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America. He earned his PhD in New Testament Studies from Durham University in the UK. Gary serves as GATE Global's International Coordinator.
